Fremantle adventures and Jeggings. Do you jeg?

Hey there funky people!

I hope your Saturday was a fantastic one.
We had a busy day. The thrills of housework in the morning (Yay...Not!) and then we went out for lunch in Fremantle. Jus burgers next to the freo markets was recommended by BIL and so we through we would check it out. Very glad we did. Very yummy!
Hubby had the cheese burger with cheddar and I had the Spanish SNAG.

Spanish SNAG burger and I added 'slaw to it., Yummo!

We both said that the cheeseburger with blue vein cheese will be the choice for next time. Little madam just had all of my chips. The sacrifices a mother makes!

After lunch we wandered down to the esplanade so little madam could have a play at the playground. We were lucky enough to stumble upon the winter festival which was sponsored by lipton Free samples of chai latte. Yes please!
Checked out the ice rink (didn't have a skate) watched a few stacks on the ice (one was pretty serious and an ambulance was called) then back to the park then home again, home gain, jiggity-jig.

The original plan for my afternoon was to find my nearest shopping centre with a crossroad store to try on some jeggings but it wasn't to be. Didn't want to confess to my husband today that the reason I wanted to "duck" to the shops was for jeggings. In our house wearing leggings as pants is grounds for divorce so I'm not sure if jeggings fall into the same category.
My reasoning for jeggings is that I have short, solid chunky legs and I can't find skinny jeans that fit my thighs but will also fit right at my hips/waist. I'm curious to see if jeggings would be the solution. Easier to take up in length than real jeans I'm guessing? Thinner material means I can tuck them into boots (once I find a perfect pair with a generous sized calf if anyone finds them point me in the right direction!)

So do you jeg? Are they more acceptable than leggings as pants?

And as an added bonus random question. What would be on your ideal burger? :)

Cheers to you tonight. I'm about to pour myself a wine :)

Ps. There are a stupid number of brands mentioned in this post. None of the mentioned brands have sponsored this post or exchanged items of value in exchange for being mentioned. They all just happened to be part of my day. Dammit. I should make them pay me for this shit.

Day 12 - shit happens.

(This is a bit of a follow on from day 11)

I got an amazing sleep in this morning and was woken up by little miss at around 9am crying, standing next to my side of the bed, saying she had done a poo. (fair enough! Just a normal start to the day!) .....in her bedroom. So hopped up and assured her that it was ok, accidents happen and we can just clean it up...no worries.
Turns out the poor little duffer had finally worked the contents of her bowel loose (yay! Finally!!) but the parachoc we had been giving her to help soften things up had worked TOO well on everything behind the initial solid bit. There was poo from one end of my house to the other. It had leaked out of her nappy and down her legs and had dropped with every step she had taken to come and tell me. She was devastated!! She had tried to clean up the original mess and had managed to spread it out. So stripped her off to get her rinsed off in the shower and the nappy exploded as I removed it (another poo puddle!!) 30 minutes, two rolls of toilet paper and a steam mopping it was all gone. But our house had a definite smell of fecal matter for most of today.

At least little missy feels much better today!

So today has definitely NOT fallen in with my pin-up plan! Lol. The glamours of being a parent right??

What is the most disgusting/amusing/ icky/horrifying scene you have encountered that your kid/s have created? (or witnessed other peoples children create)

Cheers

Day 11- Rocking the rockhole

So my plan to post this yesterday afternoon didn't come to pass. We had a busy day. The 3 of us went out to buley rockhole in the litchfield national park (100ish km south west of Darwin) and went for a swim in the beautiful semi natural pools (some modification has been done around the edges for safety) and had a picnic. As it was quite busy and little miss wasn't feeling 100% we went off to have a look at Florence falls and then headed home.
We will definitely head back out there again again before we leave the NT. will be going out earlier in the day to avoid the heat

As for little miss not feeling very well. We have been having a heap of issues with constipation. We have been using the nuddie method of toilet training and she's fantastic with her wees but hold her poos until she's completely blocked up and in pain. If anyone has some gentle suggestions on how we can help her with this please leave me a comment below. (we have tried all the dietary suggestion we can find but it seems to be a psychological thing for her...Afraid to poo on the toilet or potty for some reason. I hate seeing her in pain!

Cheers.
